I had reason to visit the rah on wednesday and thursday 22nd & 23rd november. I had pain in my shoulder. The nurse/sister who attended me was Yvonne Smith, her attention and concern was second to none. She explained everything to me and when I was waiting for attention or results she continually updated me and ensured I had something to eat so that I never felt I had been forgotten. Her manner and attitude made me feel as if I was her only patient and she was giving me her whole attention. She is the perfect nurse. Too often we are prepared to criticise any problems we encounter and accept good treatment without comment. Nursing and health professionals have a difficult and stressful job through no fault of their own and I feel we need to let them know they are valued. I would like Yvonne to know that this comment has been written. I also wish to say that overall my treatment was excellent and I had prompt attention
